ABOUT
ORGANIZATION
We’re a non-profit organization with the overall goal of contributing to the dance community. Our organization serves as a platform where dancers can come together, be innovative, and bring new concepts to life.
As a non-profit, we only aim to cover actual costs, such as studio rental, fair payment of all instructors, and basic overhead, and never operate to generate profit. This allows us to keep prices affordable and make dance more accessible, helping the community grow.
What’s bachata?
Many people dream of dancing but haven’t yet found their style or the right space to take that first step. Bachata has become one of the world’s most popular and fastest growing partner dances, known for being beginner-friendly, rooted in an inclusive local and global community, and constantly evolving as a dance form and various sub-styles.
For some, bachata is first and foremost about the warm and welcoming community and the social dancing. For others, it's more about the pure enjoyment of the dance itself (Norwegian: danseglede). Some dance for the continuous skill development and personal growth. For many, it’s a beautiful mix of everything. In recent years there’s also been a growing interest in bachata as a competition discipline.
Grow the community
With all its positive aspects and opportunities, we see enormous potential in bachata to welcome more people into the world of dance. Through our organization, we aim to make it easier for more people to discover bachata, and to provide a safe and supportive environment where everyone can explore dance. We welcome people of all ages, and we’re also committed to a special focus on supporting and creating meaningful opportunities for youth and young adults, a group that can easily be excluded when dance opportunities come with a high price tag.
Progressive concepts
In addition to community growth, we’re dedicated to contributing to the local dance scene by introducing new concepts and fresh takes that aren’t commonly offered elsewhere.
For example, we'll provide a collaborative space called Factory Level Up. This is a concept where instructors from across the dance schools, as well as other experienced dancers perhaps not currently taking classes at the moment, can come together to practice and grow side by side. Level Up offers mutual learning through weekly interactive workshops and challenges, where members support and cheer on each other, and where international guest teachers are invited to enrich our shared journey.
Another concept is the Klau Ladies team Oslo designed to empower dancers through bachata lady styling and fundamental dance technique. Our mission is to create a supportive space where women can grow at their own pace, explore their artistic expression, be part of an international collaboration, and participate in national and international shows. The team offers different levels based on experience, so that more advanced dancers can progress rapidly, while less experienced dancers benefit from closer tailored guidance and foundational development.
Quality and clarity
We are deeply committed to teaching quality and efficient growth, for both our students and instructors.
All our courses are built on a structured and thoughtfully designed curriculum, starting from the beginner level, developed in collaboration with renowned international instructors.
Each stage of the curriculum focuses on top priority, essential foundations, serving as key reference points that new skills can be built upon. Think of it like a tree: first you learn the trunk, then all the main branches, followed by the first set of smaller branches from each main branch, and so on. We believe dance should be logical, not a constant guesswork or navigation struggle.
This means our classes are not just about flashy moves, but most importantly about guiding every student to become a confident, capable, and appreciated social dancer from the very start. As a student, you should feel clear about which skills you’ve mastered and what you’re currently working on. Your time is valuable, and our systematic approach ensures efficient development.
Our instructors receive mentorship, and we actively support their development, encourage continuous learning through additional training wherever possible, as well as the completion of internationally recognized teaching methods and style certifications.
What matters most
Yes it’s about dancing, but at the end of the day it’s all about enjoying the journey together. We invite you to build a safe, supportive and inclusive community together, our shared safe space, where you're not just welcomed, but genuinely seen and encouraged to bring your raw authentic self, both in the studio and beyond. There’s nothing we value more than kindness.
If this vibes with you, join our community, and let’s grow something meaningful together.
